We are excited to support a leading multinational asset management firm that is seeking an experienced Senior Communications Manager to join their team in London. Our client is a recognised leader in the Financial Services industry with a long history of expansion and acquisitions and they currently manage assets worth hundreds of billions on behalf of both institutional and retail clients.
In this newly established role that combines both internal and external communications in a hybrid capacity, the successful candidate will report into the Global Head of Communications. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business, both in the UK and internationally, managing communications projects that require coordination between the media and internal communications teams.
Role
- Strategic Communication Development:
- Establish and drive communication strategies that reflect the organisation’s vision, ensuring consistency across all messaging.
- Engage with senior leadership to refine key messages and integrate them into corporate communications.
- Content Creation:
- Develop and edit high-quality written content for multiple platforms, including corporate statements, editorial pieces, internal updates, and digital media.
- Supervise the creation of visual and multimedia assets to enhance audience engagement.
- Media Relations:
- Cultivate relationships with domestic and international media to enhance the organisation’s visibility.
- Coordinate media materials, including press releases, talking points, and interview briefings.
- Analyse media sentiment and respond proactively to industry trends or reputation concerns.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate across departments to ensure communications support key business functions and strategic initiatives.
- Lead communication efforts for significant corporate developments, ensuring clarity and impact.
- Crisis Communication:
- Design and execute crisis communication strategies to safeguard corporate reputation.
- Act swiftly to manage sensitive issues, ensuring transparent and effective messaging.
- Performance Measurement:
- Implement tracking systems to assess communication success and audience engagement.
- Leverage insights to refine and optimise future communication strategies.
Requirements
- A strong track record of crafting and delivering successful communication strategies
- Excellent writing, editing, and speaking skills
- Proficiency with digital communication tools and social media
- Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and relationship management
- Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate communication effectiveness
- Discreet and professional when handling sensitive information
- Familiarity with corporate governance and regulatory frameworks in financial services
