We are delighted to be supporting this long standing top tier consultancy client as they capitalise on an exciting period of growth across their core financial services client base, as well as growth in new service lines.
The business is an acknowledged global leader in financial communications, corporate reputation, crisis and special situations, public affairs and digital marketing. Whilst the client is looking to hire across levels, the priority hire at this time is the linchpin AVP level, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across global, blue chip accounts from across financial services and professional services and more.
Role
- Direct the daily execution of diverse, long-term communication programs and client-specific projects across a range of industries, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, investor relations, crisis response, corporate governance, and litigation support
- Take charge of project management for assigned accounts, distributing responsibilities, anticipating project requirements, and ensuring deadlines are met, while providing both tactical and strategic guidance to senior team members
- Serve as the primary source of information on account activities, maintaining a comprehensive overview of each project’s status
- Assume responsibility for developing essential communication deliverables, including strategic plans, press releases, investor presentations, shareholder communications, talking points, and Q&A documents
- Establish and manage media relationships, responding to press inquiries and representing client interests when needed
- Lead by example for junior team members, fostering growth through a hands-on, proactive, and solutions-driven approach that supports a positive, adaptable culture
- Collaborate directly with clients and advisors, delivering recommendations and insights on issues that impact financial outcomes, brand perception, or strategic direction
- Assist in business development by identifying new market opportunities and strengthening existing client relationships through innovative, high-quality service
Requirements
- Relevant experience in financial services, strategic communications, investor relations, or similar fields with a strong understanding of the industry
- Client-oriented with a commitment to high standards of quality and results
- Exceptional writing abilities, with meticulous proofreading skills
- Collaborative and skilled communicator, effective in team settings
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, adept at managing multiple projects and client situations simultaneously
- Confident and poised, able to engage effectively with senior team members and clients in high-stakes environments
- Versatile, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating challenges
- Strong judgment and the ability to evaluate complex situations accurately, with an instinct for asking insightful questions
- Highly motivated, composed under pressure
- Experienced in project management
- Maintaining professionalism, as a brand ambassador and contribute to a positive agency image
- Collaborative, with a team-centered environment across accounts and actively contributing to agency culture
