Our client, a dynamic and fast-growing strategic communications firm, is looking for a talented Senior Account Executive or Account Manager to join their ranks. Specialising in reputation management and high-stakes communications, the firm partners with top-tier clients across the Start-Up/Scale-Up Technology and Venture Capital landscape, as well as servicing household name brands to navigate complex challenges and shape impactful narratives. 

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the firm's New York office, a fast-paced, collaborative environment, crafting innovative strategies that drive real-world results on a global scale.

Role

  • Develop and execute strategic communications plans to enhance client reputation, align messaging, and engage target audiences
  • Proactively drive media relations, pitching compelling stories, monitoring trends, and identifying opportunities for client coverage
  • Create high-quality content, including media pitches, thought-leadership articles, speeches, and event briefings
  • Provide insightful client counsel, offering strategic recommendations and industry updates
  • Manage and mentor junior colleagues, fostering professional development and ensuring high-quality work
  • Lead research and analysis, using insights to inform strategies and strengthen recommendations
  • Support business growth, identifying new opportunities, improving internal processes, and contributing to commercial success
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture, encouraging feedback, teamwork, and innovation

Requirements

  • Corporate or technology communications experience, with a background in B2B or agency roles preferred
  • Strong media relations skills with a proven track record of securing standout coverage and maintaining solid media relationships
  • Exceptional writer with experience creating media-ready materials such as press releases, pitches, and bylines
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to assess corporate reputation challenges and opportunities and deliver effective communications strategies
  • Proven project management skills, including the ability to plan and deliver work on time, within budget, and to high standards
  • Collaborative and motivated team player, eager to learn, seek feedback, and contribute to an inclusive work culture
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, meritocratic environment, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining focus and quality
  • Intellectually curious, with a willingness to dive into new topics, develop subject matter expertise, and share knowledge with colleagues
