Our client, a global Financial Services brand, with a growing presence in Asia is seeking an accomplished strategic communications professional to take on the role of Head of Communications for Singapore, their regional headquarters. This is a high-impact position that offers the opportunity to shape and strengthen the organisation’s reputation and visibility in one of Asia’s most important financial hubs.
As a key advisor to senior leadership, you will drive the development and execution of a cohesive communications strategy that enhances brand positioning, supports business growth, and fosters meaningful engagement with clients, media, employees, and wider stakeholders. This role calls for a confident communicator with a deep understanding of Singapore’s financial services landscape and strong expertise in both external and internal communications.
Role
Strategic Communications Planning
- Develop and implement a communications strategy focused on raising the organisation’s profile in Singapore.
- Work closely with senior leadership in Singapore to identify opportunities for external visibility and business profiling.
Media Relations & External Profiling
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Singapore-based media across business, financial, and trade publications.
- Identify and secure opportunities for thought leadership, including op-eds, interviews, and speaking engagements for senior leaders.
- Manage media enquiries and ensure timely, accurate responses to strengthen corporate reputation.
Content Creation & Campaign Development
- Lead the development of high-quality content, including press releases, executive speeches, presentations, and social media content, tailored for the Singapore audience.
- Work with internal teams to develop and execute campaigns that support business priorities, client engagement, and brand positioning.
Internal Communications
- Develop internal communication initiatives that support employee engagement and alignment with local business objectives.
- Partner with HR and leadership teams to ensure employees are well-informed and aligned with the organisation’s strategy in Singapore.
Brand Management & Reputation Building
- Ensure all communications and marketing activities align with the organisation’s brand guidelines, reinforcing a consistent and positive brand image in Singapore.
- Support the delivery of corporate events, sponsorships, and community engagement initiatives to strengthen the organisation’s local presence.
Requirements
Ideal Candidate:
- Extensive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or marketing communications within financial services.
- Strong understanding of Singapore’s financial services landscape and media environment.
- Established relationships with key Singapore-based journalists and media outlets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute impactful communication strategies, with experience in executive profiling, thought leadership, and brand building.
- Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise and influence senior leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong project management capabilities, with experience handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, sound judgement, and discretion when handling sensitive matters.
