We are excited to be supporting a new client as they seek to make their first go to market hire with a mandate to support across marketing strategy, execution, and partnerships. Our client is an online technology platform and marketplace, dedicated to building a more transparent and efficient way for innovative high-growth companies to access the funding needed to fuel their growth.
We are looking for a Marketing and Partnerships professional to, working directly with the founder, lead and execute a digital growth strategy. This is a broad and dynamic role requiring expertise across key marketing and lead generation platforms to drive growth and brand awareness. The ideal candidate will be commercially minded and driven by an entrepreneurial passion to help shape the direction of the business. As a core team member and early hire, you will have the opportunity to scale your career as the company scales.
Role
Growth Marketing
- Leading marketing strategies to grow demand generation, brand awareness, and growth marketing plans globally
- Act as the primary marketing point of contact for all partner companies, ensuring alignment with the group’s growth objectives
Partnerships
- Build relationships within the start up and early stage investing community to create strategic alliances that accelerate growth and unlock new opportunities for users
- Create and build long term strategic partnerships within the community, and ensure the mission to enable transparent and efficient access to early stage funding is front and centre
- Create and manage referral system to drive word-of-mouth growth and inter/intra community connectivity
Digital Marketing
- Build and execute targeted email campaigns through Mailchimp or similar tools to engage, educate and convert prospects
- Develop strategies to connect with key stakeholders, grow brand visibility, and generate leads via LinkedIn
- Onboard CRM (Pipedrive, Hubspot etc.) to manage leads generated
Events
- Develop an events calendar to further establish the business within the start up and early stage funding communities, as a thought leader and as an opportunity to interface with potential new users
External agency management
- Oversee external SEO and PPC agency, ensuring optimised web presence and SEO, as well as Google Ads PPC campaign to maximise ROI, drive organic traffic and improve rankings, and ensure alignment with broader marketing and growth strategy
Requirements
- Commercially minded marketer with a proven track record delivering measurable growth within an entrepreneurial environment
- Growth marketing mindset with experience working across a unified cross channel marketing/sales/growth function
- Comfortable overseeing aspects of digital marketing including tools and techniques ranging from SEO and PPC
- Demonstrable experience building intelligent and where applicable automated email marketing campaigns to drive customer/user growth
- Experience developing and executing LinkedIn campaigns
- Comfortable working with marketing and business development CRMs such as Pipedrive, Hubspot etc
- Previous experience with marketplace or aggregator platforms would be a bonus, as would knowledge of the startup fundraising landscape
- A data-driven mindset with an ability to analyse campaign performance and pivot strategies
- Creative problem-solver with a growth-focused attitude
- A self-starter who thrives in a startup environment and is motivated to build something impactful
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills
