Our client, a globally recognised financial institution headquartered in New York is looking for an established and enthusiastic Vice President to join their corporate communications team. This role will encompass a mix of internal and external communications, as well as some social and digital exposure.

Role

  • Event and Readiness Communications: Manage and oversee the execution of key events, ensuring effective communication and preparation across the company
  • Strategic Planning: Design and implement a comprehensive strategic communications and engagement plan aimed at boosting employee awareness and participation
  • Communication Development: Collaborate with project leads and stakeholders to create tailored communication plans that align with and support company strategies. This includes crafting executive messages, business updates, success stories, physical displays, and other related materials
  • Executive Advising: Serve as a trusted communications advisor to senior leadership, providing counsel on messaging, internal communications, and change management strategies
  • Change Management Support: Guide effective communication strategies for large-scale change initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation and stakeholder buy-in
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with leaders from departments such as Global Real Estate, Global Technology, Human Resources, and location management to ensure coordinated communication efforts across various workstreams
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ensure that key stakeholders are kept informed of important project initiatives, particularly those related to change management and transformation

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in communications, in house or agency
  • Proven capacity to develop and implement communication strategies across digital, print, video, and signage to effectively engage employees and ensure they are well-informed
  • Demonstrated skill in leading communication initiatives for change management, ensuring messaging is clear, timely, and aligned with company goals
  • Strong proficiency in simplifying complex information into clear, accessible content, using language and visuals that resonate with diverse audiences
  • Expertise in creating and executing strategic communication plans that support business objectives with effective and hands-on execution
  • Track record of managing multiple projects concurrently, collaborating with teams to meet deadlines and deliver impactful results
  • Proven ability to foster strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders, ensuring communication strategies align with organizational priorities
  • Capacity to adapt and efficiently manage competing priorities while maintaining high-quality work under tight deadlines
