Our client, an award winning, New York based Tech agency is looking to add an Account Manager to their growing team. Founded in New York in the late 2010’s, they have had a rapid rise in terms of growth and reputation and are now consistently winning awards for their work and their culture

They are looking for an experienced and dynamic Account Manager to lead on all areas of Tech including: FinTech, B2B, Consumer and Lifestyle Tech, Enterprise Tech and TMT.

Role

  • Establish strong rapport and trust with client contacts, serving as the primary liaison for all tactical matters, and offering effective guidance and counsel.
  • Develop compelling pitches, craft detailed briefing materials, engage with media outlets, nurture core reporter relationships, and devise long-term media strategies.
  • Analyze Muck Rack data to uncover trends, shaping engagement strategies and providing client counsel.
  • Strategically leverage cross-client opportunities while maintaining an understanding of the client roster.
  • Stay informed on relevant news, understanding client media priorities, and leading rapid responses.
  • Manage speaker engagements, awards submissions, events, and editorial calendars to maximize client success.
  • Identify influencers, manage social calendars, and develop integrated strategies.
  • Lead campaign evaluations to extract insights for future client recommendations, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Take the lead in crafting written communications such as press releases, blog posts, award entries, and technical or complex bylines, ensuring editorial quality.
  • Conduct interviews and develop platforms for thought leadership initiatives.
  • Actively contribute creative ideas and insights during brainstorming sessions, both internally and with clients, to enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Develop meaningful strategies aligned with client goals and KPIs, with minimal edits required for client scopes.
  • Efficiently project manage account work across teams, ensuring adherence to monthly and quarterly client KPIs and deadlines.
  • Manage project budgets to minimize under/overservicing and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Participate in business development activities, contributing to proposal development and engaging in pitch meetings and identify growth opportunities
  • Mentor junior team members, providing line management to direct reports and assisting in goal development.

Requirements

  • Proficient in utilizing industry-specific tools such as Cision, Muck Rack, and Meltwater
  • A keen interest in the intricate mechanics of technology and integrated communications. Fascinated by the dynamic interaction between brands and consumers in the modern landscape.
  • Actively engaged in consuming diverse media formats and passionate about creating meaningful connections between clients and current trends.
  • Ambitious and determined, thrives on navigating complex challenges and offering innovative solutions, always taking ownership of assigned tasks.

  • Demonstrates exceptional writing and editing skills, adept at distilling insights from vast amounts of information and proposing proactive solutions.
  • Proactively offer solutions to problems presented
  • Possesses the skill to contextualize news and trends for clients, coupled with a thorough comprehension of the media landscape.
