Communications Associate

We are currently supporting our client, a global listed alternative asset manager, as they seek to bolster their Marketing and IR team with a mid-level Communications Associate hire to work directly with the Communications Director based in London, but supporting the wider global team. 

In your role as a Communications Associate, you will play a crucial role within the global Marketing & IR function, tasked with crafting and executing strategic communication initiatives across both proactive and reactive initiatives aimed at bolstering and protecting the businesses image. Your role will include; fostering connections with both investors and a broad global stakeholder group, including internal, crisis and issues support, and digital marketing.

Role

  • Support the Communications Director to devise and execute a comprehensive EMEA focused communication strategy in line with broader global objectives, as well as feeding into the global team strategy outside of EMEA
  • Foster and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as investors, analysts, and relevant media representatives.
  • Craft and refine various communication materials, such as press releases, financial reports, presentations, and other collateral, catering to both internal and external audiences.
  • Develop and oversee communication plans to maintain uniformity in messaging and uphold transparency.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and alignment with broader organisational objectives.
  • Monitor and assess industry trends, financial markets, and competitor communications to identify potential opportunities and threats.

Requirements

  • Established experience in communications, marketing or investor relations roles within financial services
  • Prior experience in financial communications or engagement within the listed investment funds space
  • Deep understanding of financial markets, with the ability to articulate complex financial data into coherent and persuasive messages.
  • Exceptional proficiency in written and verbal communication, characterised by a meticulous focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Capability to thrive in a high-paced environment, adept at managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset, capable of establishing and nurturing strong connections across different organisational echelons
