Our client, an early-stage venture capital fund that backs ambitious founders on a mission to revolutionise the world through technology, is seeking to hire an ambitious Communications Manager to join their growing team. The fund, an operator-led VC, aims to offer European founders investors with extensive company-building experience to support their goals and help them scale as their businesses tackle real world problems through technology and innovation.

Role

  • Collaborate with the CMO and agency partners to implement the Communications & Marketing strategy.
  • Lead and amplify portfolio funding announcements and company milestones in collaboration with our agency partner.
  • Track and manage announcements and press releases for portfolio companies across social media and other platforms.
  • Follow and improve the established process for portfolio funding announcements.
  • Manage internal communications and ensure announcements are shared through appropriate channels.
  • Oversee and develop the fund’s social media presence.
  • Identify and develop content opportunities.
  • Support storytelling, narrative development, and relationship building with key media, policy, and ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain media relationships, manage press inquiries, and prepare spokespeople for press briefings.
  • Support industry events by securing speaking opportunities and maximising partners’ and portfolio founders’ participation.
  • Develop, manage, and support key events for the fund and its community.
  • Manage the funds brand in collaboration with the design agency, ensuring the website is updated with new information.
  • Coordinate with agency partners to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Requirements

  • Relevant solid experience in communications agencies, specialising in news announcements such as funding news and product/company launches, and achieving notable feature stories in leading media outlets.
  • Strong connections in technology and business media, with comprehensive experience across PR and communications.
  • Excellent and proactive communicator with a solid background in PR and communications, both in agencies and in-house.
  • Expertise in social marketing, with a strong grasp of the requirements for platforms like LinkedIn and X/Twitter.
  • Exceptional grammatical and writing skills.
  • Highly organised with superior time management capabilities.
