Our client, an award winning global agency, is looking for an ambitious Senior Communications Consultant to join their growing Energy, Renewables & Industrials team here in London but supporting across a client base that spans the USA, the Middle East and APAC.

As a multi award-winning full service communications agency our client supports some of the UKs most high profile clients across a multitude of industries including Financial Services, Technology and Venture Capital, Professional Services, Sustainability, and Energy, Renewables and Industrial. 

Due to the nature of the structure within the ER&I team, this role will have a prominent leadership position here in London and is a truly exciting opportunity.

Role

  • Competent in managing and nurturing connections with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders at diverse organisational levels
  • Play a key role in client planning and execution, generating ideas to help clients achieve their communications objectives
  • Confidently and maturely providing strategic counsel to senior business leaders in various fields, including corporate communications, campaign strategy, reputation management, strategic content development, corporate narrative development, and influencer mapping
  • Drive activity to generate positive media coverage for clients - selling in stories to media proactively and spotting opportunities
  • Leading comprehensive integrated campaigns across internal and external channels, targeting a wide range of stakeholders, from insight development and strategy to content creation, activation, and measurement
  • Familiarity with leveraging integrated communication platforms, particularly social media, for effective messaging
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the traditional and social / digital media landscape to capitalise on opportunities for clients and support senior team members in identifying potential risks
  • Drafting communications on behalf of clients, with minimal need for changes / oversight – from press releases and social media content to reactive statements and Q&As
  • Play an active role in supporting new business opportunities, assisting the team in developing and presenting new business proposals
  • Developing and enhancing client relationships, identifying growth opportunities with existing clients, and expanding the firm's reach with new businesses through innovative ideas and services
  • Proactively network with contacts and potential clients; maintain and develop relationships with relevant journalists and analysts to inform and create opportunities for clients
  • Coaching and supporting internal team members in their professional development, providing new ideas and inspiration for the firm

Requirements

  • Previous involvement in one or more of the following industries: renewable energy, traditional energy, mobility, power, maritime activities, construction, manufacturing, agriculture, mining, and chemicals.
  • Outstanding written communication, research prowess, and analytical skills
  • Deep understanding of media and industry operations, including prominent figures, ongoing developments, and a robust network of journalists
  • Dedication to exploring and securing new business prospects
  • An effective team player with collaborative and pragmatic approach to working
  • Creative, ambitious, and confident enough to deal with client matters at all levels
  • Ability to drive and maintain momentum of account activity, adept at maintaining client service while juggling multiple demands
  • Keen to take an active role in guiding and bringing on junior team members, as well as broader team management and growth
